Gilda's Recording Session
Here are some pictures from our narration recording session for the You & Me video component. Pierre took these outstanding pics:). Next step is to merge Gilda's "internal dialogue" with the images in After Effects.

SF Open Studios: Oct 20—21, 2012
Hi Everybody... at the last minute, I've decided to include my studio in the SF Open Studios on October 20th—21st.
I figured that it might be cool to share the untouched fictional space before I tear it down in the near future... never to return!
If you'd like to do a studio visit, but are unable to make it on that weekend, no worries, send me an email and we'll get something worked out: rocky@youandmemovie.com
Here's a link for the specifics: SF Open Studios

Behind The Scenes: The Big Room Sequence
Here is a mini MTV Cribs' style tour of my actual apartment—that I fictionalized for the sole purpose of this project. Gilda is my downstairs neighbor and we photographed every Sunday for 5 years to complete the book.
You'll see the camera that I used below; it is an old fashioned Cambo 8x10-inch view camera.
Early into shooting, I was lowering the tripod, just minding my own business, when it snapped down, and pretty much bit, my finger. This caused me to literally see stars and I dropped the camera, breaking the ground glass. So, for probably almost 4 years, I photographed with a Scotch-taped viewfinder.
